Researchers wanted to investigate whether wearing blue-light filtering glasses during late-night computer use influences reaction times. In a laboratory experiment, 60 participants were observed while completing a 15-minute simulated night-driving task on a computer.
The researchers manipulated whether the participants wore blue-light filtering glasses or standard clear-lens glasses during the task. The researchers measured the mean reaction time (in milliseconds) to sudden hazards appearing on the screen.
