An occupational psychologist investigated the effect of room temperature on cognitive problem-solving. Two groups of participants, Junior Software Developers (N=150N = 150N=150) and Senior Software Developers (N=150N = 150N=150), were asked to complete a complex code-debugging task under different controlled ambient temperature conditions ranging from 16∘C16^{\circ}\text{C}16∘C to 28∘C28^{\circ}\text{C}28∘C.
