Researchers wanted to investigate whether providing visual summaries before an educational video would improve information retention. Participants watched a video explaining the steps of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). Before the video, participants were randomly allocated to receive either a color-coded infographic summarizing the steps or a blank index card for taking notes. After the video, all participants completed a multiple-choice test assessing their recall of the CPR procedure.
