Question 87

A Shared Growing Space for the Town

The council is considering how to use a vacant plot near the town centre. Write a letter to the editor of your local newspaper arguing that the site should become a shared growing space for residents.

You may wish to consider why the site would suit this use, how residents could share and care for it, and what you want the council to decide.

You could give each paragraph a different job: introduce your proposal, develop your reasons with examples, then finish by making a clear request to readers and the council.
