Question 102

The school is considering converting an unused classroom into a supervised after-school homework room. It can open the room on two evenings each week, and one member of staff would need to supervise each session. A survey of 80 Year 10 students found that 46 would use the room weekly, 22 might use it occasionally and 12 would not use it.

Write the words of a speech to your school governors and fellow students, arguing that the homework room should be created. Use the survey evidence to support your argument, consider what the results can and cannot show, and recommend how the room should operate.
