Youth Funding Panel Leaflet

Your local council has set aside £10,000 for one project chosen by young people. A panel of teenagers will examine the shortlisted ideas and decide which project receives the money.

Write the text for the leaflet the council will distribute in secondary schools. Persuade teenagers to apply to become panel members.

In your leaflet, you should:

  • make clear what the panel will be responsible for
  • show why teenagers should influence how the money is spent
  • challenge the belief that the panel's meetings will be boring or that adults will ignore the decision
