Researchers wanted to investigate whether the use of immersive VR avatars during remote team-building sessions influences perceived team cohesion and performance anxiety among corporate employees. In a structured observation, 60 employee dyads were observed during a 20-minute virtual puzzle-solving task.
At the end of the session, to measure perceived team cohesion and performance anxiety, ranked scale questions (rating scales) were used where 1 indicated not cohesive / no anxiety and 10 indicated extremely cohesive / extreme anxiety.
