A team of clinical psychologists investigated daily distress levels in patients diagnosed with Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) compared to a control group of neurotypical individuals over a four-week period.
The psychologists calculated the standard deviation for the daily distress scores of the group with OCD and found it to be 1.25.
They found a standard deviation of 3.12 for the daily distress scores of the control group without OCD.
Interpret what these two standard deviations tell us about the results.
