Libraries

Source A (original opinion article):

“Our library is no longer quiet, and I am glad. Last Tuesday, a language class filled one corner while a child read aloud to a volunteer in another. The books were still there. So were people who might never have come simply to borrow one. Silence has its place, but it should not be the price of admission.”

Source B (original letter):

“I welcome the new classes, but I wish their timetable left room for those of us who need quiet. My flat is crowded, and the library used to be the one place where I could study without headphones. Last Tuesday I carried my books home unread. A welcoming library must welcome people who do not want to join an activity.”

Identify one practical benefit mentioned in each source.
