A ray of light is incident on a horizontal plane mirror as shown in Figure 1.

A ray of light is shown striking a horizontal plane mirror at an angle of 35 degrees to the mirror's surface. The incident ray has an arrow pointing downwards and to the right, meeting the mirror at the point of incidence.

Complete the ray diagram to show the reflection of the light ray by doing the following:

  1. Draw the normal line at the point of incidence.
  2. Draw the reflected ray with an arrow showing its direction.
  3. Calculate and label the angle of incidence, iii, and the angle of reflection, rrr, with their values in degrees.
