You can sign in with Google, Apple or Microsoft, with a code sent to your email, or with a password if you have set one. Use the same method you signed up with. If your work has vanished, you are almost certainly on a second account rather than having lost anything.
You can add a password later from your settings even if you have only ever used a code, and having one does not stop the code method working.
This is behind most sign-in problems people write to us about, and it rarely looks like a sign-in problem. It looks like losing your work.
Signing up with Google and later signing in with an email code, or the other way round, can leave you with two separate accounts even though the address looks identical to you. The second one is empty, so your subjects, progress and any plan you paid for all appear to have gone. They have not: they are on the first account.
Give it a minute, then check your spam or junk folder, which is where it usually is. Check too that the address you typed has no typo in it, because a code sent to an address you do not own will never arrive and nothing will tell you so.
Codes are short-lived. If you come back to an old email and the code is rejected, request a fresh one rather than retyping the old one.
Do not worry about resetting it. Sign in with an email code instead, which needs no password at all, and then set a new password from your settings once you are in.
Open my settingsSchool accounts often block mail from outside the school, which stops the sign-in code arriving. If you are using a school address and no code appears, and it is not in your spam folder, try signing in with the Microsoft or Google button instead, since that does not rely on us being able to email you.
Tell us what you were trying to do and what happened instead. If it is about your account or a payment, send it from the email address on the account so we can find you.
