The diagram shows a ray of light travelling from air into a rectangular plastic block.

A ray of light is incident from air onto the flat surface of a rectangular plastic block. A dotted vertical normal line is drawn perpendicular to the air-plastic boundary. The incident ray in air makes an angle of 35 degrees with the horizontal surface of the block. The refracted ray in the plastic makes an angle of 32 degrees with the vertical normal.
