A student investigated the digestion of protein by protease. They mixed 8 cm³ of protein suspension with 4 cm³ of protease solution in a test tube and kept the tube in a water bath at 37 °C. The student tested the mixture for the presence of protein and amino acids every 40 seconds. Table 1 shows the results.
