Lubricating oil and kerosene are two hydrocarbon fractions obtained from the fractional distillation of crude oil. At room temperature, lubricating oil is significantly more viscous than kerosene.

Explain, in terms of their molecular structures and intermolecular forces, why lubricating oil has a higher viscosity than kerosene.
