Elena is addicted to vaping, just like her older sister. When Elena was younger, she observed her sister use an e-cigarette. Her sister was often highly stressed and irritable until she took her first puff of the vape, which immediately calmed her down.
When Elena vapes, she feels a pleasurable buzz and a boost in her concentration. She frequently vapes while sitting at her study desk in the evenings, and now wants to vape every time she sits down at her desk. She also finds that she now needs a much stronger nicotine e-liquid to feel any effect.
Additionally, Elena vapes when she hangs out with her college friends, who mock those who do not vape and praise Elena when she shows off new vape tricks. If Elena tries to go a full day without vaping, she develops a severe headache and feels highly anxious.
