Working Memory and Cognitive Load

A cognitive psychologist conducted an experiment to investigate the effects of cognitive load on working memory performance. Ten participants completed a visual search task under two conditions: a low cognitive load condition and a high cognitive load condition. The number of errors made by each participant in both conditions was recorded. The results are shown in Table 1 below.
