Dr. Vance investigated whether locus of control had an impact on levels of obedience in a workplace environment. She selected 12 production supervisors from different manufacturing firms, six identified as having an external locus of control and six identified as having an internal locus of control.
The participants were asked whether they would falsify a routine quality assurance checklist if instructed to do so by their company director.
The results of the investigation are shown in Table 1.
