Dr. Albright investigated the relationship between the Authoritarian Personality (measured using the F-scale) and obedience. She selected 20 university students, 10 of whom scored highly on the F-scale (indicating an authoritarian personality) and 10 of whom scored low on the F-scale.
Participants were ordered by an experimenter wearing a lab coat to administer an unpleasant acoustic blast to a learner in a mock learning task.
The results of the investigation are shown in Table 1.
| Personality Type (F-scale) | Obeyed the order | Refused the order |
|---|---|---|
| High F-scale (Authoritarian) | 8 | 2 |
| Low F-scale (Non-authoritarian) | 3 | 7 |
Draw a bar chart to show the number of participants with a low F-scale score who obeyed and refused the order.
