a.

(i) State the relationship between power, current and voltage.

(ii) A ventilation fan motor with a power of 1.8 W1.8\text{ W}1.8 W is connected to a 12 V12\text{ V}12 V supply. Calculate the current in the fan.

b.

Three switches, K1K_1K1, K2K_2K2 and K3K_3K3, are used to control a ventilation fan in a research laboratory. Each switch can be set to position LLL or position RRR, and changing any single switch toggles the fan on or off.

Diagram showing two circuit states of three switches K1, K2, and K3 controlling a ventilation fan

When all three switches are in position LLL, the fan is ON. When all three switches are in position RRR, the fan is OFF.

Complete the table by finding the three missing entries.
