Conversation

Tariq was explaining to his colleague how frustrated he has been feeling. He mentioned that he keeps misplacing his reading spectacles, his office computer has been incredibly slow and lagging all week, and his daily commute has been delayed by 10 minutes due to minor roadworks.

His colleague, Chloe, replied that her stress is of a different nature: she is currently going through a divorce after 15 years of marriage and is also preparing to start a brand-new, high-responsibility career in a different city next month.

Decide who you think is more likely to suffer the negative health effects of stress, Tariq or Chloe. Use psychological research to justify your decision.
