The student wants to map the magnetic field lines around the strongest disc magnet using a plotting compass. They write down five steps for their method, but they are in the wrong order:

  1. Join the dots with a continuous, smooth curve and add arrows pointing from North to South.
  2. Put the disc magnet on a blank sheet of paper and draw its circular boundary, labelling its poles.
  3. Relocate the compass so that the tail of the needle is directly over the newly marked dot, and place a new dot at the pointer tip.
  4. Continue this process of shifting the compass and marking dots until the opposite pole of the magnet is reached.
  5. Place the plotting compass near the North pole of the disc magnet and mark a pencil dot at the tip of the compass needle.

Write down the correct sequence of numbers to show the correct order of these steps (e.g., 1-2-3-4-5).
