Figure 1 shows a simplified fractional distillation column used to separate crude oil into different fractions.

Fractions are tapped off at different heights based on their boiling points: gases exit at the very top, petrol is tapped off near the top, while diesel oil is tapped off much lower down, closer to the bottom of the column.

Petrol is obtained higher up the fractionating column than diesel oil. Petrol and diesel oil fractions have different physical properties.

Choose a property of these fractions. State how this property for petrol compares with the same property for diesel oil.
