Dr. Aris investigated whether authoritarian personality had an impact on levels of obedience in a university setting. She selected 16 undergraduate participants, eight identified as having a high F-scale score (authoritarian personality) and eight identified as having a low F-scale score (non-authoritarian personality).
The participants were instructed by an experimenter in a lab coat to sign a petition demanding the immediate expulsion of a student who protested a university policy.
The results of the investigation are shown in Table 1.
| F-scale score | Signed the petition | Did not sign the petition |
|---|---|---|
| High | 7 | 1 |
| Low | 3 | 5 |
Draw a bar chart to show the number of participants with a low F-scale score who signed and did not sign the petition.
