Verdant Fare, the organic farm-to-table delivery group, reported a significant increase in operating profits following its acquisition and integration of the specialist meal-kit subscription provider, PrepChef. The acquisition, completed late last year, has resulted in the combined group controlling 26% of the UK organic meal-kit and fresh grocery subscription market. Verdant Fare reported that its operating profits for the third quarter of the financial year rose to £52 million.
Aris Thorne, Verdant Fare’s chief executive, commented: "We are committed to a multi-brand strategy so customers can seamlessly mix and match subscription offerings from Verdant Fare, PrepChef, or our budget-friendly DailyRoot plans, depending on their weekly household cooking preferences. This integration allows us to offer unique hybrid subscriptions, combining bulk organic pantry staples with portion-controlled gourmet recipe kits and smart kitchen appliance connectivity. Consumers will benefit significantly from this unified logistics network and tailored culinary ecosystem."
