Oasis Energy integration leads to profit growth

Oasis Energy, which includes Oasis Generation and Oasis Retail, reported a strong rise in operating profits as revenues expanded following its integration of the independent domestic challenger, Windward Power. Oasis completed the acquisition of Windward Power last year, resulting in the combined group controlling 28% of the UK green domestic energy market. The group reported that its operating profits for the second quarter of the financial year rose to £410 million.

Clara Vance, Oasis Energy's chief executive, commented: "We will operate a multi-brand strategy so customers can choose a mix of Oasis, Windward, or LiteVolt tariffs, depending on which best matches their household energy profile. This integration allows us to bundle domestic supply with solar panel installation and smart EV charging plans; consumers are set to be the key beneficiaries as we offer highly integrated services to win their loyalty."

With reference to Extract B, examine the likely benefits to consumers of the integration between Oasis Energy and Windward Power.
