Question 204

A place for beginners

Your school wants more pupils to take part in clubs and activities.

Write the text of a speech for a school assembly persuading pupils to help make these activities welcoming to beginners.

You could include:

  • why someone might hesitate to join
  • what existing members could do
  • how a club could support both beginners and experienced members.

You may also use your own ideas.

Your response will be assessed for communication and organisation, and for vocabulary, sentence structures, spelling and punctuation. The total includes 16 marks for vocabulary, sentence structures, spelling and punctuation.
