Polymers can be classified as addition polymers or condensation polymers.

These polymers can be formed using the monomers shown in the table below.

MonomerStructure
PropenePropene structure: A carbon-to-carbon double bond (C=C). The left carbon is bonded to two hydrogen atoms. The right carbon is bonded to one hydrogen atom and one methyl (CH3) group.
Ethane-1,2-diolEthane-1,2-diol structure: Two carbon atoms single-bonded to each other. Each carbon atom is bonded to two hydrogen atoms and one hydroxyl (OH) group, forming HO-CH2-CH2-OH.
Butanedioic acidButanedioic acid structure: A chain of four carbon atoms. The two outer carbon atoms are part of carboxylic acid groups (COOH), and the two inner carbons are CH2 groups, forming HOOC-CH2-CH2-COOH.

Explain, using the monomers from Table 1, how different polymers can be formed.
