Question 8

Three hydrocarbon samples, DDD, EEE, and FFF, have the molecular formulas C6H14\text{C}_6\text{H}_{14}C6H14, C5H10\text{C}_5\text{H}_{10}C5H10, and C4H8\text{C}_4\text{H}_8C4H8 respectively.

A student adds a few drops of orange bromine water to a sample of each hydrocarbon and shakes the mixture.
