Iron wool is heated while dry chlorine gas is passed over it as shown in the experiment below:

A horizontal hard-glass boiling tube is clamped securely. Inside the tube is a bundle of iron wool. A Bunsen burner is positioned underneath, heating the iron wool strongly. A stream of dry chlorine gas enters the tube from the left side. To the right of the heated zone, on the cooler glass, a dark reddish-brown solid deposit has formed as a product of the reaction.

Identify the solid product formed by the reaction of iron with chlorine.
