The loop always remains entirely within the magnetic field. Four possible actions are performed on the coil:

  • translating the loop horizontally along the xxx-axis
  • rotating the loop about Axis 1 (the xxx-axis)
  • rotating the loop about Axis 2 (the yyy-axis)
  • rotating the loop about Axis 3 (the zzz-axis, perpendicular to the plane of the loop and passing through its center)
