A route through the crowd
The puppet company's stage had to be moved to the square before noon. Roadworks blocked the direct route from the van. The alternative pavement narrowed outside a café, where the trolley would not fit between the tables. We carried the stage in sections, but one corner was too wide for a single person's grip. A passing delivery left a stack of crates across the remaining gap. All the while, the permit required us to leave the pedestrian entrance clear. By the time we reached the square, a gust had scattered the loose fastenings from the open tool tray.
Describe the difficulties of moving and assembling the puppet stage. You may support your points with brief quotations.
