The revised route

The driver's plan was flexible. When the organiser explained that one passenger needed a shorter walk, she suggested a different stopping place. Her instructions were explicit, naming the return time and the exact side of the square where we should wait. A change made for one person ended up clarifying the journey for everyone. I wrote the details on my ticket rather than assuming that I would remember what had sounded so straightforward.

From the passage, select two words or phrases that describe the driver's response to the group and the clarity of her instructions.
