Question 247

Using the school printers

Your school is reviewing when pupils may use its printers at lunchtime. Some pupils need to print work at short notice, but queues, wasted paper and demands on staff can cause difficulties.

Write a letter to your headteacher recommending how lunchtime printing should be organised. Consider the needs of different pupils as well as the practical problems for the school.

You may invent relevant details. You could include:

  • whether pupils should book or queue
  • whether some printing should take priority
  • how the school could test and review the arrangement.

Your response will be assessed for communication and organisation, and for vocabulary, sentence structures, spelling and punctuation. The total includes 16 marks for vocabulary, sentence structures, spelling and punctuation.
