CuCO3(s)→CuO(s)+CO2(g) \text{CuCO}_3(\text{s}) \rightarrow \text{CuO}(\text{s}) + \text{CO}_2(\text{g}) CuCO3​(s)→CuO(s)+CO2​(g)

In an experiment, a student heats 6.200 g of copper(II) carbonate. After the reaction is complete, the mass of the remaining solid copper(II) oxide is 3.980 g.

Calculate the mass of carbon dioxide gas that has been released into the atmosphere. Give your answer to three significant figures.
