A student investigated the time taken for pancreatic lipase to break down the lipids in three different types of dietary oil.

For each type of oil, the student:

  • Added 2.0 cm32.0\text{ cm}^32.0 cm3 of the lipid emulsion to a test tube containing pancreatic lipase and phenolphthalein indicator.
  • Kept the mixture in a water bath at 37∘C37^\circ\text{C}37∘C.
  • Recorded the time taken for the mixture to change from pink to colorless, indicating complete digestion of lipids to fatty acids.

The student repeated the test three times for each type of oil. The results are shown in the table below:
