An educational psychologist conducted a study in a local community library to investigate reading habits and study spaces.

Study Methodology

  • Part 1 (Observation): The researcher recorded the actual number of library visitors using three different sections of the library at two different times of day. The results are shown in Table 1.
  • Part 2 (Self-Report Questionnaire): The same library visitors completed a questionnaire. Question 3 asked, 'Which of the following library sections do you spend the most time using?' The results are shown in Table 2.
