An environmental psychologist designed a new 10-item self-report questionnaire called the Eco-Action Scale (EAS) to assess households' day-to-day pro-environmental behaviors.
To test the validity of the EAS, she administered it to a sample of 60 volunteers and compared their scores against their actual household waste-diversion rates measured over a three-week period.
