A researcher conducted a two-part experiment to investigate the effects of performance feedback on motivation. In Part 1, participants completed a word-association task and were given preset fake feedback (either highly positive or highly negative, regardless of their actual performance). In Part 2, they were timed on how long they spent trying to solve an extremely difficult spatial puzzle.
After both parts of the study had been completed, the researcher needed to debrief the participants.
Write a debriefing statement that the researcher could read out to the participants.
