Refer to the observation study described below.
A developmental psychologist carried out an overt observation study to investigate sharing behaviour. For three days, the sharing behaviour of toddlers in a daycare centre was recorded during free-play. The toddlers then watched a puppet show where one puppet was highly rewarded with stickers for sharing its toys. For the subsequent three days, the sharing behaviour of the same toddlers was observed again.
Briefly discuss one way in which a covert observation of the toddlers might be more beneficial than the overt observation used in this study.
