Question 117

Zoologists monitored the behavioral states of a pack of African wild dogs in a nature reserve. Over a period of 30 days, they recorded the primary behavior of individual dogs at regular sampling intervals during three key periods of the day: Dawn (06:00–08:00), Midday (11:00–13:00), and Dusk (17:00–19:00).

The observations were classified into four mutually exclusive behavioral categories: Resting, Travelling, Hunting, and Socialising.

Table 2 shows the frequency of observed behavioral states across the three periods.
