A researcher investigated the effectiveness of the 'Method of Loci' (a mnemonic strategy using visualization of physical locations) on memory recall.

In Group A, 25 participants used rote rehearsal to memorize a list of 10 grocery items. In Group B, 25 different participants were instructed to use the Method of Loci to memorize the same list of 10 items.

The results are given in Table 1 below.

After the memory test, the researcher asked all 50 participants to write a short paragraph describing their internal thought processes and any mental images they used during the recall task.
