As part of an investigation into gender schema theory, a researcher selected a sample of 75 boys aged 6 years from a primary school. The boys watched a short video clip showing a man performing three different activities: chopping firewood, reading a map, and arranging flowers in a vase.
Two weeks later, the boys were interviewed individually to test their recall of the activities they had seen the man perform.
The results of the study are summarized in Table 1 below.
