Question 149

Your school has recently rearranged its library to create a larger space for group work. Some of the tables intended for quiet study are now close to the busy entrance.

Write a letter to the headteacher explaining how the new arrangement affects students and suggesting how the library could be improved.

To help you plan your letter, consider:

  • the parts of the new arrangement that work well or cause difficulties
  • the ways in which different students are affected
  • practical changes you would like the school to consider.

You may create any additional details you need.

Your work will be assessed on communication and adaptation to audience and purpose (27 marks), and organisation and technical accuracy (18 marks).
