Watching a nest
The volunteer reviewing the nest footage was observant, noticing a loose strand near the entrance before I could locate it. She was restrained in her conclusions, recording what appeared on screen without guessing why a bird had stayed away. Empty hours were still part of the record. I wanted each clip to tell a complete story, but the camera only showed one small space. Beyond its edge, events continued without an audience.
From the passage, select two words or phrases that describe the volunteer's approach to interpreting the footage.
