Question 119

We were moving the class library into a temporary room while our usual classroom was being decorated. The trolley's front wheel jammed whenever we tried to turn a corner. In the uncovered courtyard, steady rain had begun to soften the cardboard cartons. The main corridor was crowded with pupils queuing for lunch, so there was barely enough space to pass. When we finally reached the temporary room, we found it locked, and the only member of staff with a key was in another building.

Describe what made the move to the temporary library difficult. Support your response with brief quotations where appropriate.
