The added caption

The first draft of the display label was concise, fitting comfortably on a small card. It was misleading, however, because it described the object without explaining that it was a later replacement. The curator crossed out a line and started again. A longer label would need more space and a different position in the case. What looked like a small change in wording became a decision about how much a visitor could understand at a glance.

From the passage, select two words or phrases that describe the first draft of the display label.
