A student sets up an optical bench to observe how parallel incident rays of light behave when they pass through two different glass lenses, Lens X and Lens Y.

Two ray diagrams. Diagram X shows three parallel, horizontal incident light rays traveling from left to right. They pass through a double-convex glass lens, Lens X, and refract inwards, converging to meet at a single focal point on the right side of the lens. Diagram Y shows three parallel, horizontal incident light rays traveling from left to right. They pass through a double-concave glass lens, Lens Y, and refract outwards, spreading apart or diverging as they exit the lens. The principal axis is shown as a horizontal dashed line in both diagrams.

State one similarity and one difference in the way the light rays behave as they pass through Lens X and Lens Y.
