Figure 1 shows a spanner being used to loosen a tight bolt.

A diagram of a steel spanner gripping a hexagonal bolt which acts as the pivot. There are two labeled points on the handle of the spanner: Point A is located at the very end of the handle, far from the bolt. Point B is located on the handle, much closer to the bolt.

Explain why it is easier to loosen the bolt by pushing at point A rather than pushing at point B.
