Figure 1 shows a schematic cross-section of a pressure relief safety valve used in industrial piping.

The safety valve contains a heavy-duty helical compression spring that holds the plug against the valve seat. When system pressure exceeds the design threshold, the plug lifts and the spring is compressed, opening the valve outlet.

The spring constant of this spring is 380 N/m.

Calculate the force required to compress the spring by the amount shown in Figure 1 when the valve is fully open.
