Energy stores and transfers
Energy stores and transfers
Energy can be held in different stores. A moving object has energy in its kinetic store, a raised object has energy in its gravitational potential store, and a stretched spring has energy in its elastic potential store. Mechanical work can stretch a spring, transferring energy to its elastic potential store.
Step-by-step lessons on AQA GCSE Physics 1.1.2 Changes in energy. Each one builds up to exam-style questions. Build a strong grip on equations, units and Key Stage 3 fundamentals before tackling the more demanding topics like electromagnetism, the particle model of matter and space physics.
